This calendar reflects my current weekly availability for sessions. If you don’t see a time that works for you, it may be challenging for us to align our schedules going forward. Please select a time that suits you best.
Location
Located in Uptown New Orleans, the yellow Victorian house at 3705 Coliseum Street has served the psychiatric outpatient needs of the community for over 50 years. The office is on the corner of Coliseum and Amelia, four blocks off of St. Charles Avenue towards the river, near Touro Hospital and the intersection of St Charles and Louisiana Avenue. It is conveniently located near the streetcar line and includes off-street parking spots on the Amelia side as well as ample street parking.
Virtual therapy sessions are available for patients located throughout Louisiana, Virginia, and New York.
Initial Consultation (complimentary)
Thirty minute consultation sessions are available to determine if we are a good fit to work together. Consultations are typically conducted via telehealth or phone, but may be available in-person upon request.
Intake session ($300)
Sixty minute intake sessions focus on your current concerns and your goals for therapy.
Individual therapy ($275)
Fifty minute individual therapy sessions are patient-led. You will bring whatever is on your mind at the time of the session; Dr. Smith will maintain her focus on your goals and use ERP, ACT, positive psychology, and other techniques to help you address overthinking, mental checking, anxiety, and OCD.
Cancellation Policy
The full fee is charged for any sessions cancelled less than 72 hours in advance. Rescheduled appointment slots may be available on a limited basis.
Insurance / Payment
Dr. Smith is considered an out-of-network provider for all insurance plans. Patients are responsible for the full fee at time of service but may receive reimbursement directly from their insurance companies. Dr. Smith is happy to provide forms for reimbursement.
Dr. Smith accepts payment via all major credit cards as well as most HSA cards.
Licensure
Dr. Smith is Licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in Louisiana (#1381), Virginia (#0810008287), and New York (#027682). Due to state licensure laws, she is only able to see clients who are physically located in those states at the time of the session.
No Surprises Act Notice
In compliance with the No Surprises Act that went into effect January 1, 2022, all healthcare providers are required to notify clients of their Federal rights and protections against “surprise billing” from an out-of-network provider.
